2008 Pictures & Door To Door

September 27th

WR Civic Center 9:00am
• Cheerleaders will drop off envelopes

Coaches and Parents will be needed to drive the girls around.

September 28th - Team and Individual Photos
• WRHS Field (in case of inclement weather - WRHS Gym)

ALL Football Players will begin picking up envelopes immediately following their team timeslot (except for flag football).

Coaches and Parents will be needed to drive the boys around.

Season Opener in Saddle Brook

If you didn't attend this weekend's opener in Saddle Brook, you surely missed some great football.

    The PeeWee Blue Devils were trailing by less than a touchdown with the time running out in the 4th quarter. The Falcon defense was in bend but don't break mode and doing a good job of it. On what would be the final snap of the game, a streak of blue jersey went right up the middle, broke multiple tackles and scored to seal the win. What a finish! And that was only the first game of the day.

    The Junior Blue Devils were locked in a back and forth game that would see which team had more desire to win. After three and a half quarters, the Blue Devils found themselves with a one point lead (20-19) and needing to stop the grinding Falcon offense. Our boys were up to the task and forced a turnover on downs inside their own 20 yard line. A red zone defensive stand to seal a 1 point win!

    Fans who had stayed for both games were beginning to lose their voices from the excitement and dramatic fasion of two wins in a row!

    The final game of the day held a big challenge for our Seniors. They were facing two time superbowl champions. In what proved to be a struggle not only against the Falcons but many many questionable officiating decisions, our boys walked away with their heads held high suffering a frustrating 8-0 defeat. These boys showed what desire and commitment mean to someone who Bleeds Blue!

    Join us next week as we travel to Lyndhurst to take on the Golden Bears. The Peewee game kicks off at 5:30PM

Junior Blue Devils gridiron openers postponed to Sunday

2008 Pep Rally

As you may have heard, our season opening Pep Rally is scheduled for Friday, September 5th, 2008 @ the 14th Street Sports Complex in Wood-Ridge. We kick off our program at 5:30. All family, friends and fans are invited to attend. Last year’s pep rally was a great time and we look forward to seeing all of you there! (The coaches game, in and of itself, was a sight to see!)

All cheerleaders and football players will be in attendance.

Cheerleaders should dress in their cheering t-shirt and shorts (this may be changed by your cheering head coaches).

Football players should dress in White Jerseys and black shorts.

This includes ALL LEVELS. Flag, PeeWees, Juniors and Seniors.

Coaches: if you have not provided your roster, you need to do so ASAP so we can announce each and every participant!

There will be surprise special guests as well.

See you there!
